Welcome to the Pokemon Odyssey full changelog page, where patch notes for both new and old versions of Pokemon Odyssey are listed. You can find details on new content added in each version, as well as bugs that have been fixed. This list is a helpful resource for checking what’s being added to the game.
Pokemon Odyssey Full Changelog
Version 4.1
- THE EXPANDED BAG VERSION IS HERE!
Creator Note: This version includes several fixes and introduces the infinite bag capacity feature. For this reason, Version 4.1 is not compatible with your previous save files. Please use this version only if you’re planning to start a new save.
Version 4.0.3
- Fixed a crash Issue during an event with Olympia in the 4th Stratum;
- Fixed an Issue with Expert Belt’s chest on Faraway Island.
Version 4.0.2
- Fixed some dialogues;
- Fixed some random freeze instances and glitches after beating some trainers;
- Removed the Friendship-increasing berry shop at the guild. Now there’s a NPC that increases the friendship of your mons to its max value;
- Fixed a bug that was preventing Leafeon, Glaceon and ||Yggdreon|| to be registered in the Dex. It’s not retroactive, so you’ll have to evolve them again;
- Added “Lullaby” to the sound moves list;
- Added “Expert Belt” on Faraway Island;
- You can now register unobtainable mons in the Dex:
- B.B. Mawile & B.B. Kecleon -> Read Silva’s notes in his Lab in Etria during the postgame
- Lords of the Sea -> Read Napier’s notes in her shop in Aqua Resort
- Jigglypuff and Wigglytuff now learn Rotten Egg at level 10 and Lullaby at level 30 (Lullaby was too strong during early game);
- The key item “Quest Log” has been renamed to “Story Log”;
- Mawile has been buffed:
- HP: 60 -> 80
- Speed: 50 -> 60
- Shift Gear has been added to Mawile’s learnset;
- Camerupt has been rebalanced:
- HP: 80 -> 90
- Atk: 100 -> 80
- Speed: 50 -> 60
- Slaking has been nerfed:
- HP: 150 -> 140
- Atk: 140 -> 120
- Def: 100 -> 90
- “Call: Allies” BP has been nerfed: 70 -> 50;
- Replaced Spearow and Fearow’s Defiant with Rock Head;
- New sprites for Spearow, Fearow and Feraligatr (credits to @Lodestar195 on Discord ).
Version 4.0.1

- Level Candy is a key item (unlimited use) you’ll be able to obtain by interacting with the Nintendo Switch in Nyx’s house from v3.5 onwards.
- How does it work? It’s pretty simple, lemme explain:
- If you use this candy RIGHT BEFORE a Captain battle, your party level will be set to the current Level Cap-1 (in case you wanted to evolve your Pokémon via level up). Let’s say you’re about to fight the first Captain (Level Cap = 18) your party will be set to Level 17
- If you use this candy BEFORE REACHING the Captain, your party level will be set to the previous Level Cap.

GAMEPLAY RELATED
- Fifth Stratum: Abyssal Shrine.
- Sixth Stratum: Frozen Grounds.

- Replaced the “frozen” status effect with Frostbite.

Version 2.6
- Fixed an issue regarding shiny encounters becoming Bad Eggs after being captured (GOD AT LEAST I HOPE SO);
- Removed the guaranteed shiny option from Talrega’s fountain;
- Shiny encounter rate has been set to 1/1024 (the old one was 1/8192);
- Fixed an issue regarding callAsm and battlestring functions;
- Fixed an issue regarding Choice Scarf not boosting the user’s speed;
- Fixed an issue regarding Technician not boosting low BP moves;
- Fixed an issue regarding Boomburst not being recognized as a sound-based move;

- Pokémon gender ratio has been set to 50% (except for male/female only species);
- Learnsets and abilities have been updated (for example Butterfree now learns Quiver Dance, Furret has Fur Coat etc etc);
- New items added: Eviolite, Rocky Helmet, Flame Orb, Toxic Orb, Life Orb, Assault Vest, Weakness Policy, Light Clay;
- Sitrus Berry’s effect updated: it now restores 25% of max HP instead of just 30 HP;
- Pokéball containing TMs are now yellow;
- New move animations for: Mysticalfire, PowerUpPunch, Aura Sphere, Head Smash, Iron Head, Poison Jab, X-Scissor, Icicle Crash, Drain Punch, Shadow Sneak, Aqua Jet, Bullet Punch, Shell Smash;
- Bag, TM Case and Treasure Pouch have now a better UI;
- Reworked TM case: you can now see which Pokémon are compatible with a determined TM before teaching it;
- You can now see your team and current game version in the “Continue/New Game” screen;
- Hard Mode bosses updated with new held items and moves;
